What you may do with what you read here, and the two things this site is careful not to be.

Using this site

Read it, quote it, link to it. Quoting a figure with a link back and the date it was read is exactly the use this site is built for.

Republishing a page wholesale is not. The pages here are written by This site and the text belongs to it.

Accuracy, and what it depends on

Every price on this site was read from a vendor's own page on a stated date, and vendors change prices without notice. The date beside a figure is the whole of the warranty attached to it.

  • Where a vendor's page disagrees with a page here, the vendor's page is right.
  • Reporting a discrepancy through the contact form gets it fixed sooner than the next scheduled re-read.

What this site is not

Two things, and both matter enough to say plainly rather than in a disclaimer nobody reads.

  • Not legal advice. Pages here discuss likeness rights and consent, citing practising attorneys speaking about US law. That is journalism about a legal topic, and it is not advice about your situation. Take advice from someone you have retained.
  • Not a substitute for the vendor's own terms. What a plan includes, what a license permits and what happens when you cancel are governed by the contract you sign with that vendor, not by a description of it here.

Placements

Paid placements are sold, labelled on the page and governed by the disclosure page. Submitting a pitch does not create any obligation on either side until terms are agreed in writing.

Liability

This site is published in good faith and without warranty. Decisions about which software to buy are yours, and the arithmetic here is offered so you can check it rather than so you can rely on it unread.

These terms may change, and the modification date on this page changes with them. The related documents are the privacy policy and the editorial policy.
